We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. The data we collect

Depending on the services you use, we may collect and process:

Account & contact data — name, address, email address, telephone number and login credentials.
Billing data — billing address, VAT number where applicable, and transaction records. Card details are processed by our payment providers and are not stored on our systems.
Domain & registry data — registrant details required to register, renew or transfer domain names, which are passed to the relevant registry (for example Nominet for .uk domains).
Service data — information relating to hosting, email, VPS and other services you use, including configuration and usage records.
Technical data — IP addresses, server and access logs, and similar information generated when you use our services, retained for security and operational purposes.
Communications — records of your correspondence with our support and sales teams.

3. How we use your data and our lawful bases

We process personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 on the following bases:

Performance of a contract — to provide, maintain and bill for the services you order.
Legal obligation — to meet registry requirements, tax and accounting obligations, and lawful requests.
Legitimate interests — to secure our network, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our services, balanced against your rights.
Consent — where you have opted in to optional communications, which you may withdraw at any time.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary:

With domain registries and registrars (such as Nominet) to register and manage domains.
With payment processors to take and reconcile payments.
With infrastructure and connectivity suppliers that help us deliver our services.
Where required by law, regulation, or a valid request from a competent authority.

Where data is processed outside the UK, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection in line with UK data protection law.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including to meet legal, accounting and registry requirements. Account and billing records are typically retained for up to seven years after the end of our relationship. Technical logs are retained for a shorter period appropriate to their security and operational purpose.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit, access controls and active network protection.

7. Cookies

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the site (for example, to keep you signed in and to maintain your basket), together with limited functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may affect how the site works.
