TDesk is a UK-hosted cloud hosting control panel that does something Plesk and cPanel don't — it bundles the panel, the server, the storage and the bandwidth into a single monthly price, then automates the work of running them. There's no VPS to rent separately, no registrar account to hold elsewhere, no WHMCS licence to buy for billing. You add a domain and the whole hosting chain provisions itself; everything below is included on every tier, with the tier setting only your quotas.
Most panels hand you a checklist. TDesk runs the chain for you. Enter a domain and, in under ten seconds, it deploys a full DNS zone across three nameservers, generates and publishes a DKIM keypair, wires mailboxes with SPF and DMARC, attaches AI spam filtering, deploys the web vhost under an isolated Linux user, and issues a live Let's Encrypt certificate — with a pre-flight DNS check so a rate-limit is never burned on a zone that isn't pointing at us yet. The domain is live on HTTPS, sending authenticated mail and protected from spam, before it can receive a single message. Each step is idempotent and retryable, so provisioning is reliable rather than a sequence of things that can half-finish.
Every customer is a genuine UNIX user on the box. PHP runs as that user, and files are mode 0640 owned by them — no shared "nobody" account, no reading across accounts. This is proper operating-system-level separation, not a soft convention, which matters the moment you host more than your own sites.
Inbound mail on every domain passes through MxGuard, Transcom's own AI gateway. A LightGBM classifier (0.988 AUC) sits inside a full DNSBL / URIBL / SPF / DKIM / DMARC / ARC pipeline, backed by ClamAV virus scanning, quarantine and per-domain sender rules. It's attached automatically during provisioning and costs nothing extra — spam filtering that would be a separate paid product elsewhere is simply part of the platform.
Veritus risk-scores new signups before an account goes live, using email, phone, country and IP signals to catch throwaway and high-risk registrations automatically. It protects both you and any customers you go on to host — particularly valuable if you resell.
Web hosting runs on nginx with PHP-FPM, MySQL and PostgreSQL, created and managed from the panel with browser-based admin. Each domain can run in one of four modes — Website, Forwarding, No hosting or Shop. DNS is served from three authoritative nameservers (a primary plus two geo-distributed secondaries) with full record editing. SSL is free Let's Encrypt, auto-renewed. As a Nominet-accredited registrar, TDesk registers .uk domains directly — and adds domain parking with branded for-sale and holding pages, plus dropcatch to catch expiring .uk / .co.uk domains on a pay-on-success basis.
The ecommerce module is a full storefront — ten themes, cart, checkout, Stripe and PayPal, and built-in Shop SEO — so a hosted domain can become a working online shop without a separate platform.
Backups are scheduled, encrypted and stored off-site with 30-day retention and one-click restore of any file, mailbox, database or full site. The browser-based file manager supports drag-drop upload and per-customer SFTP. Security is layered in — fail2ban, a WAF, firewall and two-factor authentication.
